The Kensington Hedge Fund 1 consists of approximately ten Emerging Canadian hedge fund managers chosen by Kensington for the purpose of providing diversified exposure to newer and smaller Canadian Hedge Fund managers.

Manager Selection Process

  • Kensington maintains an extensive database of Emerging Canadian Hedge Fund Managers with over 100 Canadian Managers being tracked.
  • Kensington applies its Proprietary Due Diligence process.
  • Data analysis results in approximately 25 managers for closer monitoring.
  • The Kensington Hedge Fund Investment Committee reviews all potential new entrants to portfolio.
  • Resultant review leads to the selection of approximately 10 managers.
  • Portfolio composition is subject to rigorous ongoing testing.
