The Kensington Global Private Equity Fund offers individual investors a diversified portfolio of world-class private equity investments, including hard-to-access private equity funds and direct investments in private companies. Traditionally, investments in private equity have only been available to investors who could meet very high minimum investment thresholds. The Kensington Global Private Equity Fund was established to make these investment opportunities available to the broader investing public.
Kensington Private Equity Direct Investment Fund (2010) L.P.
Kensington creates a new direct investment fund each calendar year with all capital raised being committed by yearend. These Funds participate in the most attractive direct investments available across all our portfolios, frequently alongside other leading private equity fund managers within our network. Our active management is intended to ensure that risk is managed well through pre-emptive moves, and upside is captured when opportunities arise. Investors find this fund attractive because it is a low cost method of participating in a limited number of deals alongside top private equity managers. In addition, the capital gets deployed and returned faster than it would in any other private equity fund. The Kensington Direct Investment Funds do not invest in any other private equity funds.
Kensington Power Income Fund L.P.
Kensington sees an opportunity to finance cash flow generating investments in the operation of power generation facilities in North America, mainly renewable sources of power (i.e. solar, wind) but also conventional sources. Kensington will utilize its relationships with project developers to source, develop, and finance these power generation facilities. Each development will be backed by long-term power purchase or off-take agreements providing a steady contracted stream of highly stable, sustainable cash flows and the ability to distribute a significant portion of earnings. Cash flows generated by the investments will be distributed quarterly to limited partners.
