Thomas Kennedy
Managing Director
Tom Kennedy is the founder of Kensington Capital Partners and Chair of the Investment Committee and Advisory Board. Tom serves on the Advisory Boards of several private equity funds and on the Board of Directors of Crestline Coach Ltd., Lise Watier Inc., CVCA - Canada’s Venture Capital and Private Equity Association and the RPSM Foundation.
Tom's previous experience includes 10 years in operational and management positions with Consolidation Coal Co. and Alberta Energy Company. He has investment banking experience as a senior executive with Bunting Warburg, Lancaster and TD Securities. Tom was Chairman of the Regent Park School of Music, a Director of the Toronto Central LHIN, Loft Community Services, Triax Growth Fund, as well as several public companies.
Tom holds a B.Sc.Eng. (Mining) from Queen's University and a D.B.A. from the University of Edinburgh and is a professional engineer.

Richard Nathan
Managing Director
Rick is a Kensington Managing Director and a member of the Investment Committee and Advisory Board and is the Co-Chair of the Canadian Innovation Exchange (CIX). Rick serves as a Board member (or observer) of Public Mobile Holdings Inc., D-Wave Systems Inc. and Blue Ant Media Inc., and is on the Advisory Board of the Novacap and Vanedge (Chair) funds. He is also a member of the Small and Medium Enterprise Committee (SMEC) established by the Ontario Securities Commission. Rick served as President and Chair of CVCA – Canada’s Venture Capital and Private Equity Association between 2005-2012.
Rick was previously a founding partner of Brightspark Ventures, a Toronto venture capital fund focused on incubating early stage technology companies, and the Managing Director of Goodmans Venture Group, a strategic advisory and investment division of Goodmans LLP. Rick also spent more than 10 years as a corporate and securities lawyer at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, including as leader of the firm’s Technology Business Group.
Rick holds a B.A. (Computer Science) from Dartmouth College and an LL.B. from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law.

Eamonn McConnell
Managing Director
Eamonn McConnell is a Kensington Managing Director and a member of the Investment Committee.
For over 25 years, Eamonn McConnell has been involved in the investment banking and global fund management business. Eamonn has worked in Canada, the UK and Asia during his career. He has worked for many large international institutions including Barclays Global Investors, Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch. In the late 1990s through 2002, he was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank responsible for the pricing, underwriting and risk management of Deutsche Bank’s debt new issue business (Asia and Europe).
His areas of activity have ranged from capital markets work in both debt and equity products, the establishment of a mutual fund investment management company and the subsequent launch of several funds, to the establishment of a private equity fund management company. Eamonn has been an active investor in all types of assets and the management of risk products. He is currently a director of Gryphus Capital, a private equity firm he co-founded in 2002, which is based in Singapore. Eamonn has acted as the Deputy Chairman of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) Canada since 2008.
Eamonn has an MBA from McGill University and HEC France, and the CAIA designation.

John H. Walker
Managing Director
John Walker is a Kensington Managing Director with responsibility for the infrastructure business. He is on the Investment Committee. He is Chairman of U.S. Geothermal Inc. [NYSE: HTM, TSX: GTH], an operating geothermal power company based in Boise, Idaho. John has a 38 year history in urban planning, energy security and power plant development in Ontario and internationally. John was a founding director of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority in 1992 and chaired the first Planning and Development Committee of that Board, which provided oversight in the construction of the $4.4 billion terminal complex at Toronto Pearson Airport completed in 2004. Additionally, he was co-founder and a founding Director of the Borealis Infrastructure Fund in 1997 which is now owned by the Ontario Municipal Employee Retirement System (OMERS).
John has worked in the financial services industry as an investment banker with Loewen Ondaatje McCutcheon and has served on the Board of Directors of Sheridan College. His background includes 10 years at Ontario Hydro where he was responsible for alternative energy and international market development for Ontario Hydro International. John has also acted as a senior advisor to Falconbridge now Xtrata on the Koniambo project, a $3 billion project in New Caledonia. He has also worked in infrastructure fund development for Aurion Capital and Integrated Private Debt.
John is a Registered Professional Planner in the Province of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. John has a BSc. from Springfield College and a Masters of Environmental Studies (Urban and Regional Planning) from York University.

Keith Wettlaufer
Senior Advisor
Keith Wettlaufer is the former Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Commercial Services of Bruce Power.
Prior to joining Bruce Power, Keith was employed by Linamar Corporation as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Strategic Development. From 1996 through 2000, Keith was employed by A.G. Simpson Co. Limited, a metal fabrication company in the automotive industry. Previously, Keith was President of InterTAN Inc., which owned and operated 3000 Radio Shack retail stores in Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Belgium, France and Holland. Keith spent seven years with Magna International as Treasurer, and as Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration for Cosma International, a unit of Magna that focused on automotive body systems. Keith was Director of Internal Audit at The Oshawa Group. Keith joined Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants and spent six years with that firm.
Keith obtained an undergraduate degree in Economics and Accounting at Wilfrid Laurier University and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1976. Keith represents Kensington on the board of Plainfield Industries.

Stephanie Coyles
Senior Advisor
Stephanie Coyles is a seasoned senior executive with more than 23 years experience in driving innovative strategies and operations, and is currently acting as an advisor to new start-ups and private equity investments in North America.
She is a former member of the Executive Committee at LoyaltyOne (part of Alliance Data Corp), where she led corporate development (including M&A), corporate marketing and their international expansion into Brazil and India. Prior to that, Stephanie was a former senior principal with McKinsey & Company, the leading strategic consulting firm with over 88 offices worldwide and helped to establish McKinsey's Canadian health care practices.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University and a Masters in Public Policy from Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

H. Martin Kent

Martin Kent is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience in a broad range of financial management activities. Most recently, Martin was the Chief Financial Officer of Quantum Murray LP, a national industrial and environmental services company with $200 million in revenues.
From 2005 to 2008, Martin was a Managing Director at Newport Partners, an investment firm that provides wealth management services, capital and financial advisory services to help Canadian entrepreneurs realize their personal and corporate goals. Prior to Newport, Martin co-managed private equity funds for Oncap and EdgeStone, where his responsibilities included sourcing, structuring and managing investments in mid-market companies. From 1994 to 2000, he was a Managing Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at RBC Dominion Securities. From 1987 to 1994, Martin held various investment banking positions with Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan in New York and Toronto. Martin began his career in with Clarkson Gordon, a predecessor of Ernst & Young, where he received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1984.
He received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University in 1987 and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University in 1982.

Tim has over 28 years of financial management and treasury experience and currently sits on the Statistics and Valuations and Finance Committees of CVCA – Canada’s Venture Capital and Private Equity Association.
Prior to joining Kensington, Tim was Vice President, Treasurer of Trilwood Investments Limited, a privately-owned company investing in small cap public companies, private companies and in private equity fund investments. He was a director of a group of privately held companies based in the Caribbean and before that served as Treasurer of Matorca Inc.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1977 and received his CA designation while with Thorne Riddell, a predecessor of KPMG.

Jeffrey Pike is a Kensington Senior Vice-President, responsible for leading the sales, marketing and distribution development efforts.
Jeffrey has been involved in the financial services industry for over 25 years, with extensive senior experience in the Mutual Fund and Brokerage sectors. He has led numerous product and business development initiatives covering mutual funds, wrap programs, retirement solutions and private label investment programs.
Prior to joining Kensington, Jeffrey ran his own Asset Management consulting practice providing Financial Services clients with differentiated ideas in developing distribution for their offerings. Jeffrey was previously Managing Director of SEI Investments Canada for over 11 years, where he led their successful launch to the Advisor community in Canada.

Prior to joining Kensington, Rhizza was Team Lead, Accounting and Corporate Reporting at StorageTek Canada, a leader in information lifecycle management solutions. Rhizza’s experience includes her work as a Senior Internal Audit Analyst for Nortel, where she was involved with SOX compliance testing, and as an Associate Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she worked with clients across a number of industries.
Rhizza holds a B.A. in Accountancy from the University of Waterloo and is a Certified Management Accountant.

Janice Law is the Financial and Reporting Analyst at Kensington Capital Partners Limited.
Janice was previously an investment analyst co-op in the private equity funds team at the Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan. Prior to that, she was responsible for various aspects of accounting at EdgeStone Capital Partners. Janice has worked as a financial reporter for the Entertainment and Devices division at Microsoft Canada.

Anne Mendez assists with the Accounting and Reporting at Kensington Capital Partners Limited.
Anne previously worked primarily in the field of education, spending five years working as an English as a Second Language teacher for S.E.L. Academy, working closely with management to develop new curriculum and to the lead on implementing creation of assignments and examinations. Anne gained international experience working as a language instructor overseas in Asia and has previously worked at a Toronto-based law firm; gaining administrative experience in the real-estate industry.

William worked in the Global Investment Banking division of RBC Capital Markets, as an Associate in the Corporate Finance Energy Group in Calgary. William was also a member of the RBC ECM Generalist program and spent two years with M&A, sales & trading and equity research groups both in Toronto and New York. In addition, William has operational, engineering design and risk management experience with Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America and Toyota Tsusho Canada. William, a professional engineer, also ran his own engineering consulting firm, serving clients in the Ontario area.

Elaine was a research assistant in Equity Capital Markets at TD Securities, and in Securities Placement at Lancaster Financial Corp and worked with the President at Bunting Warburg.
Elaine previously volunteered as a corporate fundraiser for LOFT Community Services, one of Toronto’s largest and most diverse suppliers of supportive housing.

Stephan Breban
Stephan Breban is a Managing Director at City Capital Partners. He sits on the Advisory Boards of three private equity funds. In addition to managing research and selection, he manages the construction of private equity portfolios, overseeing the exposure to different sectors to ensure sufficient diversification across sectors, markets and geographies, as well as managing the level of commitments to achieve the desired level of investment.
Prior to joining City Capital Partners, he was director of private equity at Russell Investments and previously ran his own company researching and selecting managers for a large European consulting practice and two multi-manager funds either side of the Atlantic.
Mr. Breban is a graduate of City University (London) with an Honours Degree in Actuarial Science.

Gregory Cochrane
Greg Cochrane is Managing Partner with VRG Capital Corp., a Toronto based private equity firm.
Prior to VRG Capital, Greg was a private equity investor focused on real estate and mid-sized companies. Greg built and managed one of the largest event and conference companies in Canada, Mariposa Communications and Promotions, until April 1997 when he and his partner sold the business. Greg’s earlier experience included marketing and product management roles with General Electric in Toronto and SC Johnson in Brantford, Ontario.
As well as serving on boards for publicly and privately-traded companies, Greg is very active in the community, having served on boards for groups and associations such as Junior Achievement, The Down Syndrome Association of Toronto, The Canadian Business Hall of Fame, St. Josephs Health Centre and several others. In 1992, Greg received Canada’s 125th Commemorative Anniversary Medal for volunteerism in the community.
Greg holds a Degree in Business from Bishops University in Lennoxville, Quebec and an M.B.A. from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario.

Kevin Crull
Kevin W. Crull has been the President of Bell Media Inc. at BCE, Inc. since April 2011. Kevin served as Chief Operating Officer of Bell Media Inc. from November 2010 to April 2011, and as President of Residential Services of Bell Canada since September 2005 and was responsible for wireline, high-speed Internet and video services.
Previously, Kevin was Senior Vice-President of AT&T Consumer and Small Business from 2001 to 2004, and also served as Senior Vice-President & General Manager of its wireless business during 2004. Prior to his tenure at AT&T, he spent five years with US West as Senior Vice President of the Consumer Services Group and nine years with Nestle where he advanced from an entry level position to Division Vice President of Beverage Sales.
Kevin holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of San Francisco as well as a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Ohio State University, and has also completed leadership development programs at the Dale Carnegie and Aspen Institutes.
Kevin serves on the Board of Bell Aliant Regional Communications Inc. as well as National Director of the Bell Walk for Kids Help Phone.

Rubin Osten
Ruby Osten is President and Chief Executive Officer of Raspberry Investments Corp., an investment and consulting firm. He is also a director and advisor to a number of private companies as well as a member of the Board of Governors of Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Ruby is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
Ruby co-founded PC DOCS Group International Inc., formerly a TSX and NASDAQ-listed company, and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer until the company’s sale in 1999. PC DOCS was a global software company and the leading provider of document management with revenues in excess of $200 million and offices in 20 countries worldwide
Ruby was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cowboy Corp., a provider of customer relationship management software for the automotive industry from January 2000 until the company’s sale in February 2003. Ruby was a director of Spectra Securities Software Inc., a provider of software to the financial services industry focused on wealth management from January 2000 until the Company’s sale in July 2002. He was also a director and chair of the audit committees of the Movie Distribution Income Fund, an income trust (TSX listed) and of MediSolution Ltd. (TSX listed), a provider of information technology to the healthcare industry.

John Puddington
John Puddington was President of Trilwood Investments, a privately owned equity investment company, from 1989 to late 2003 where he was responsible for the performance of a portfolio of investments in private companies, Canadian junior public companies and U.S. buyout funds. Concurrently, he was Chairman and CEO of an affiliated oil and gas company in which he was responsible for the start up and strategic direction over a 14 year time period.
Previously, he had private equity and leveraged buyout experience with Citibank Canada and Roymark Financial Services and before that, private company term lending experience with RoyNat Inc. He has participated on the Board of Directors of numerous private and public companies. During his tenure at Trilwood, he served as President of the Canadian Venture Capital Association (CVCA). John has an affiliation with NorthRock Capital Partners, a private equity investor, and is on the Advisory Board of Kern Energy Partners, a private equity fund.
John has a B.A. in economics from Concordia University and an M.B.A. from McMaster University and is a member of the Independent Review Committee.

Gregory Smith
Gregory Smith is President and CEO of Instar Infrastructure and brings more than 20 years of unparalleled experience in the investment, operations, acquisition, and financing of public and private infrastructure, real estate, power, and utility businesses.
Greg Smith was previously a Managing Partner of the Global Infrastructure Advisory Group at Brookfield Financial Corp and has over 15 years of experience with private sector investing, including over six years of experience with infrastructure investments and related projects. Greg served as President of Macquarie Capital Funds Canada for six years. In this role, he directed and led Macquarie’s Canadian asset base from $2 billion to over $4 billion in equity under management in a wide range of infrastructure, power generation and utility businesses. Greg has advised all levels of government on power and infrastructure projects and the related financing. Prior to his role at Macquarie, Greg was Managing Partner at RBC Capital Partners and served as Co-Head of its $200 million mezzanine fund. He was Founder and Managing Director of Deloitte’s Western Canadian Corporate Finance Group and also served as Chief Financial Officer of the Saskatchewan Government Growth Fund, a private equity fund that invested over $100 million in 33 companies.
Greg is currently the Chair and past President of Canada's Venture Capital & Private Equity Association ("CVCA"), an industry association founded in 1974 that represents Canada's venture capital and private equity industry. A CVCA member since 1994, Executive Committee from 2005 and now leading the CVCA with over 1,800 members engaged in venture capital and buyout activity who collectively manage over $75 billion.

Thomas Tutsch
Tom Tutsch has 28 years of experience in the Canadian public and private financial markets and currently provides strategic consulting services and serves as a director or advisory board member on private and public company boards and not-for-profit boards.
Tom retired from BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2001. While at BMO Nesbitt Burns, Tom served as Deputy Chairman of BMO Nesbitt Burns and President and CEO of BMO Nesbitt Burns Equity Partners Inc. Tom also spent 18 months as the Interim Vice President, Private Markets for the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, managing a group which supervised private equity, real estate and infrastructure investments. Tom joined Burns Fry in 1980, having spent the previous seven years working in corporate finance at Dominion Securities. While at Burns Fry, Tom served as Executive Vice President and was head of investment banking and a member of the executive management group.
Tom holds a B.Sc. (Physics) from Loyola College and an M.B.A. (Finance) from York University.

Glynn Williams
Glynn Williams is the Chairman of Williams & Moore Capital Corporation, a private equity investment and advisory firm.
Glynn was a Managing Director at Newcrest Capital Inc. from 1995 to 2000, where he was Director of Research and a leading analyst. Glynn was a Director and securities analyst with Gordon Capital Corporation and an officer and analyst with Wood Gundy. His career includes work in the venture capital, high technology and consulting engineering professions. His knowledge base in the aerospace, manufacturing, consumer, hospitality and service sectors adds value to the assessment of funds and their investments.
Glynn holds a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science, an M.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto. and is a Professional Engineer and a Chartered Financial Analyst. Glynn is a member of the Independent Review Committee.

Sean Aylward is a Partner in the Toronto Tax Department of Osler Hoskin & Harcourt primarily focused on commodity taxation, customs and related cross-border matters.
Sean co-owned and served as a Director of Riverfront Medical Services, at the time one of Canada's largest privately owned third party medical assessment companies. He is currently a Director of a privately held company that is involved in enterprises including specialty finance and lending, real estate, and developing and marketing products for the sporting industry that will lead to early detection of concussion.
Sean graduated with a B.A. from the University of Ottawa in 1982. He obtained his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1985 and his LL.M. from the London School of Economics in 1988. Sean is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Tax Foundation and the International Fiscal Association.

Dr. Sheldon Levy
Dr. Sheldon Levy co-owned and served as the President and Medical Director of Riverfront Medical Services, at the time one of Canada’s largest privately owned third party medical assessment companies.
Sheldon remains a consultant to the new owners of the company. Sheldon practiced as a Clinical Associate in Cardiovascular Surgery at both Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and St. Michael’s Hospital. Sheldon is currently a Director of a privately held company that is involved in enterprises including specialty finance and lending, real estate, and developing and marketing products for the sporting industry that will lead to early detection of concussion.
Sheldon graduated from the University of Western Ontario Medical School in 1991. Sheldon is a member of the Medical-Legal Society of Toronto, Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators, C-SAM (Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine), CMPA, CPSO and the OMA.
