Tom Kennedy has joined the Board of Alberta Innovates Centre for Machine Learning (AICML). AICML is a leading research organization that for over a decade has built a team of 125 people doing advanced research in the fields of:
• Big Data & Analytics
• Natural Language Processing
• Social Network Analysis
• Optimization
• Game Theory (i.e., capital markets, military simulation, etc.)
• Robotics/Reinforcement Learning
Kensington has investments in companies that benefit from this work, and being closer to the leading edge of research in these areas should provide better insight into opportunities. In addition, the Kensington network continues to grow through this relationship as AICML graduates have gone to a number of well known organizations, and in many cases they become co-development partners. Some of the more notable outfits are listed below.
