Kensington Private Equity Fund Reaches a New High

The Kensington Private Equity Fund reached a new milestone this month as the NAV reached an all-time high of more than $77.3 million, (as of January 16, 2015). Kensington has seen strong growth in the portfolio through the past several months, as well as several successful exits in underlying private equity funds. The Fund’s new record high follows a gain in Net Asset Value (NAV) of more than $13.7 million in 2014 and a record distribution of $2.26 per Unit, representing 10.2% of the NAV, last October. The Fund distributes realized gains from the sale of portfolio companies.

As we look ahead to 2015, the market remains positive for investors in the private equity market. Continued low interest rates in a steadily growing economy are driving opportunities for new investments. At the same time, corporate acquirers remain active buyers of mature companies from private equity portfolios to fuel their own growth. Kensington continues to see high quality deal flow and a steady pace of realizations in this environment, which we expect to continue through 2015.

The Kensington Private Equity Fund remains open to new investors. Please contact us, or your financial advisor, if you would like more information.
